Making Beautiful perfumes with fragrance oil

Fragrance oils are by far one of the easiest perfume making essences to work with.
This is especially so if you are new to making your own perfume and want to build up some confidence on how to combine the raw materials in your blends. On the other hand, it also works well if you are just interested in making beautiful perfumes without much fuss or complication.
Unlike aroma chemicals and essential oils that can both be very complex and complicated to work with in their pure and raw state, fragrant oils have already been blended into well structured scents.
Most of the hard work would already have been done by the manufacturer, making them very easy to work with when blending perfumes.
Quality fragrance oils are usually composed with a combination of top grade raw materials that can be made up of both aroma chemicals and exotic botanical oils. This process creates premium grade aromatic oils that yield excellent results in perfume blends.
However, you do need to be aware that there are two types of fragrance oils, one is skin safe and suitable for use in beauty products and other is not safe for use on the skin.
So be sure to use the right type of scented oils to create your perfume.
Another great thing about using fragrance oils when making perfumes is this, matters like the chemical analysis of the oils would already have been carried out.
It’s the responsibility of the manufacturer of the oils to ensure that they are fit for purpose and abide with relevant industry regulations if they are meant for use in body care products. So all expenses associated with the testing and certification of the fragrance oils falls on the manufacturer.
One other factor to consider if using fragrance oils in perfumes is that they are relatively less expensive than the aroma chemicals, essential oils and botanical absolutes also used in odorizing perfumes.
While you would be expect to pay about $40 per lbs on average for quality fragrance oils, with aroma chemicals and essential oils you would expect to pay $90 -$300 per lb on average.
The best types of scented oils to use in perfume making are the ones that have a balanced blend of top, middle and base notes.
This is what will promote a harmonious flow in performance of the perfume.
When there is structure and harmony in a blend, the perfume should have well rounded qualities.
These qualities would work in the blend right from the initial impact stage to the heart of the blend, right through to the dry down and evaporation stage.
Ultimately, the success of your blend comes down to the quality of the raw materials you use in it.
In my line of business, I have found that nothing beats it.
Quality always sells and customers expect great value for their money, if they are buying from you.
So there’s no room for compromising or cutting corners if you want your customers buying from you for a long, long time.
Whether you are new to perfume making or just want to make your own perfume as a hobby or as a work from home business, fragrance oils are great to work with.
It gives the chance to make superb blends for yourself and your customers with the minimum of fuss, in record time and at very low cost.
